DISTORTIONS

Linda Riseley uses artworks to express the wordless but loud voice of the heart and the truth that lies within. They are inspired by a personal understanding of the world she inhabits and her own spiritual journey. These poetic visualisations portray the essence of her experiences and are translated into a moving form that touch our emotions and speak to our soul.

Her work Distortions deals with the unseen pain of youth and the uplifting wisdom that is learned from the journey. It goes beyond the borders of the human condition and speaks the truth in a universal way. Grinding away at the heart we search for the light within, clouded by deeds, thoughts, feelings of darkness and a blurred reality we look for our soul.

Linda’s artworks are designed to move the viewer through the room of her mind.
Dedicated to Digital art and its limitless possibility, her work is complex and intense. Images linger. The more you look, the more you are drawn into its hypnotic spell. On all levels, Linda’s work resonates with the senses.

The short film Distortions may be projected without sound on to a wall, floor or any reasonably flat surface. Alternatively this work may be played on a mini dvd player or Laptop.

Mother Judy (Judy Travis) is one of the most important people in my life, and she passed away May 3, this year. Her birth day, December 27 is approaching, and I decided to create one more artwork (see the attached JPEG) and send it to you to be the part of WOMEN’S ISSUES art exhibition. (I created and sent the first artwork to you in June this year.) She was a wonderful mother, and the head of the nurse at the local hospital, who taught and trained hundreds of nurses there, and she is widely recognized as one of the most accomplished and respected ladies in New Jersey in the United States of America. I miss her deeply.

She was sentenced to 2 years in prison, which was extended to 12 years upon appeal.

She gave birth to a daughter in prison. Mother and daughter were in prison.

Ms Gulnaz had been pardoned by President Hamid Karzai after she apparently agreed to marry her rapist.

I try to take some pictures instantly from the girls wardrobe in my dormitory.

Different girls, different personality with the same type of wardrobe.

In my dormitory, everybody has got the same kind of wardrobe to keep their stuffs.

So what you see, is the place where everybody keep their clothes,

shoes, cleaning, washing and cooking things.

After i took a photo, i separate it two different layers, one for the cianotipe,

wich are the less interesting things ( as i think ) ,

and the acryl layer wich are the more interesting.
